SAN FEDELE'S BASILICA

The basilica  Saint Fedele in Como is located in the same square where medieval houses 'a balcone' ( jutting out houses) are preserved.

Probably the Basilica dates back to the VII cent., but the present shape dates back to the XI cent. when the relics of the martyr Fedelis were located inside the church.

Many witnesses of medieval sculpture are on the Dragon portal, as well as inside the basilica where you can admire precious medieval frescoes on the oblique wall.

The façade is rebuilt in the XX centrury in neo- romansque style.
