Thanks to this itinerary we'll discover the northern branch of lake Como, known for very ancient churches, such as Santa Maria del Tiglio in Gravedona, located in an amazing position on the lake; this church is  so popular as there are mosaics dating back to the Vth century AC. This area is also very well known for historical fatcs about  WWII, in fact Mussolini, Claretta Petacci and many officers and ministers were captured and most of them killed in Dongo, apart from Mussolini and Petacci who were shot in Mezzegra, a village in the central part of lake Como. During our tour we'll discover characteristic villages, a wild and stunning landscape and before leaving we'll have the opportunity to taste good wine as this region is a very important wine area.
